PRESIDENT: Esther Goodrich-Puffer ~ Esther has been involved in teaching, training, showing and selling horses in the state of Maine for over 25 years. She owns and operates Goodrich Farm & Stable, a lesson and sales barn in Berwick, ME. Esther is a USHJA certified trainer and has been involved with Maine Hunter Jumper from the start, as she was one of the founding members.

SECRETARY: Jessie Schnell ~ Jessie has been riding and working around horses since age 10. She teaches and trains out of Inish Beg Farm in Standish, ME with her two OTTBs Frolic and Monkey. Outside the equine world, she is a veterinary medical consultant for IDEXX Laboratories and achieved her Master of Science in veterinary medicine.

TREASURER: Anne Kozloff ~ Anne has served on many boards over the years, held many different seats in various horse organizations and has kept up with her NE stewards license card and done local judging. She became involved with MeHJA about 6 years ago and has had numerous horses shown to year end awards since. Anne currently owns and operates Whistlin’ Willows Farm, LLC, and has horses for sale in addition to camp and lessons horses available for lease. She has been in the horse industry her entire life, being a 3rd generation horse owner making a living with horses.

Wendy McCann - Wendy is a part time ARIA certified Hunt Seat instructor. She teaches riders at Lupine Farm as well as at her new facility, Few Acres Farm, in Auburn and those with their own horses in various areas of the state. Wendy has over 30 years experience with horses. She began teaching in 2007 and began her horse sitting business, Maine Horse Sitting, one year later. With the exception of a one year hiatus, Wendy has been a part of the MeHJA since the very beginning, including service in various officer positions. Wendy lives in Auburn with her husband, three children, a chocolate lab, white barn kitty turned family cat, Arabian cross mare and registered QH mare. Contact: dwcbv@roadrunner.com
Lizzie Dutton ~ Lizzie is an adult amateur showing in Hunter/Jumper and Jumper shows in Maine and New England. She brings insight on how the shows are running as a rider. Lizzie has experience managing barns and spent time as a working student in barns in South Carolina and NY, experiencing the H/J and eventing worlds in other states. Lizzie grew up in Cape Elizabeth and grew up riding H/J with her now 12 year old TB, Bailey, who she still shows. She has two horses and her family owns four others. She currently works at her family’s farm in Biddeford, Thunder Ridge, and helps manage employees. She rides and trains with anyone she can and is always looking to grow in her riding career. Lizzie is also a talented photographer, working a few professional enterprises in her spare time. She also enjoys working with dogs and rescue animals.

Joanne Sysun ~ Joanne was first introduced to horses by way of Standardbred harness racing at a small local farm. She comes to us with experience in saddle seat, hunt seat, and western pleasure along with a career in law enforcement, including time with the Mounted Patrol Unit in Portland. She currently rides and competes her horse, Dante, and is a strong advocate for the "Jump For A Cure" series of H/J classes.
