PRESIDENT: Esther Goodrich-Puffer ~ Esther has been involved in teaching, training, showing and selling horses in the state of Maine for over 25 years.  She owns and operates Goodrich Farm & Stable, a lesson and sales barn in Berwick, ME.  Esther is a USHJA certified trainer and has been involved with Maine Hunter Jumper from the start, as she was one of the founding members.

VICE PRESIDENT: Lindsey Nelson ~ Lindsey has been around horses her whole life; showing up and down the east coast since the age of 5. Lindsey showed Hunters and the Eq Medal classes on the NEHC, MHJ, RIHA, CHJA circuits until she aged out. She currently rides out of Life's A Ride in Saco, ME. Although this is her first year on the MeHJA Board, Lindsey has been showing across the state of Maine as an Amateur Adult since moving back to the state a couple years ago. She now dabbles in Dressage as well as the Hunters and Eq classes - and sometimes also shows western on the MHA circuit.

SECRETARY: Jessie Schnell ~ Jessie has been riding and working around horses since age 10. She teaches and trains out of Inish Beg Farm in Standish, ME with her two OTTBs Frolic and Monkey. Outside the equine world, she is a veterinary medical consultant for IDEXX Laboratories and achieved her Master of Science in veterinary medicine.

TREASURER: Anne Kozloff ~ Anne has served on many boards over the years, held many different seats in various horse organizations and has kept up with her NE stewards license card and done local judging. She became involved with MeHJA about 6 years ago and has had numerous horses shown to year end awards since. Anne currently owns and operates Whistlin’ Willows Farm, LLC, and has horses for sale in addition to camp and lessons horses available for lease. She has been in the horse industry her entire life, being a 3rd generation horse owner making a living with horses.

Wendy McCann - Wendy is a part time ARIA certified Hunt Seat instructor. She teaches riders at Lupine Farm as well as at her new facility, Few Acres Farm, in Auburn and those with their own horses in various areas of the state. Wendy has over 30 years experience with horses. She began teaching in 2007 and began her horse sitting business, Maine Horse Sitting, one year later. With the exception of a one year hiatus, Wendy has been a part of the MeHJA since the very beginning, including service in various officer positions. Wendy lives in Auburn with her husband, three children, a chocolate lab, white barn kitty turned family cat, Arabian cross mare and registered QH mare.

Lizzie Dutton ~ Lizzie is an adult amateur showing in Hunter/Jumper and Jumper shows in Maine and New England. She brings insight on how the shows are running as a rider. Lizzie has experience managing barns and spent time as a working student in barns in South Carolina and NY, experiencing the H/J and eventing worlds in other states. Lizzie grew up in Cape Elizabeth and grew up riding H/J with her now 12 year old TB, Bailey, who she still shows. She has two horses and her family owns four others. She currently works at her family’s farm in Biddeford, Thunder Ridge, and helps manage employees. She rides and trains with anyone she can and is always looking to grow in her riding career. Lizzie is also a talented photographer, working a few professional enterprises in her spare time. She also enjoys working with dogs and rescue animals.

Meg Fox ~ I have been around horses all my life; growing up in the Saddleseat world and showing and grooming for my aunt on the New England rated pleasure circuit. After taking horsemanship for multiple semesters at UNH, and then a break to start my family, I returned to horses and began my Hunter career at Lucky Clover Stables. As a member of the MEHJA board, I hope to help increase membership and interest in the opportunities provided by the organization, and share insights from the perspective of an adult amateur and life-long horsewoman, so all members can have a positive experience in the Maine Hunter Jumper community.

Jess Douglas - Jess first began fostering her love of Hunter Jumper Equitation competing in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association for Becker College in Worchester, Massachusetts. Since completing her degree and following a journey as a Registered Nurse in the New England area, she continued her pursuit of excellence in the Hunter Jumper discipline as a lesson student, lessee, and most recently the adult amateur owner of her Off the Track Thoroughbred, Noah. As part of the MEHJA Board, she strives to bring an actively competing amateur adult’s perspective and ambition to improve the standard and quality of the Maine equestrian scene.
